I started seeing Lauren at the same time as a Reproductive Endocrinologist who she works very closely with. I really liked the way they worked together because it made me feel like I was covering all of my bases. A couple of months after starting treatment, I had a FSH level of 30 at the beginning of a cycle. The doctor told me that it wasn't a good cycle to try to get pregnant and recommended that I go on the pill for a month to give my ovaries a rest. That didn't feel right to me, and Lauren encouraged me to follow my instincts, while continuing acupuncture treatment. A week later, the doctor checked again and everything looked great. We decided to attempt an IUI and a couple of weeks after that, I found out I was pregnant! In addition, my hormone levels were perfect, so taking hormones to support the pregnancy wasn't necessary. Now I'm 37 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy.
